1. Agreement to Terms
By booking a charter with Coastal Chauffeur, operated by Sea Island Taxi and Tours DBA Coastal Chauffeur ("Company"), you ("Guest") agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions. Please read them carefully before making a reservation.
2. Reservations & Deposits
All reservations require a deposit at the time of booking. The deposit amount will be confirmed during the booking process. Your reservation is not confirmed until the deposit has been received and you have received a confirmation from Coastal Chauffeur.
3. Cancellation & Refund Policy
Standard Collections:
- Cancellations 7 or more days prior to departure — full refund of deposit
- Cancellations 3–6 days prior to departure — 50% refund of deposit
- Cancellations within 48 hours of departure — no refund
The Signature Voyage & Far Shore Collection:
- Cancellations 14 or more days prior to departure — full refund of deposit
- Cancellations 7–13 days prior to departure — 50% refund of deposit
- Cancellations within 7 days of departure — no refund
All cancellation requests must be submitted in writing to bookings@coastalchauffeur.com.
4. Weather & Safety Policy
The safety of our guests is our highest priority. Coastal Chauffeur reserves the right to cancel or modify any charter due to unsafe weather conditions, mechanical issues, or other safety concerns. In the event of a captain-initiated cancellation:
- Guests will receive a full refund or the option to reschedule at no additional charge
- We will make every reasonable effort to notify guests as early as possible
PrivaSea is an all-weather, climate-controlled vessel. The captain will make the final determination regarding weather-related decisions.
5. Guest Responsibilities
By boarding PrivaSea, guests agree to:
- Arrive at the designated pickup point no later than 15 minutes prior to departure
- Follow all instructions from the captain and crew at all times
- Comply with all applicable maritime safety regulations
- Treat the vessel and all equipment with care and respect
- Not bring illegal substances or prohibited items aboard
- Ensure all guests in their party are aware of and agree to these terms
6. Vessel Capacity
For the safety and comfort of all guests, vessel capacity is strictly limited to 6 passengers. This limit cannot be exceeded under any circumstances.
7. Alcohol Policy
Guests are welcome to bring their own alcoholic beverages for personal consumption aboard PrivaSea. Coastal Chauffeur does not provide alcohol. Guests are responsible for consuming alcohol responsibly. The captain reserves the right to refuse service or end a charter early if any guest's behavior poses a safety risk.
8. Damage & Liability
Guests are responsible for any damage to the vessel or equipment caused by negligence or misuse. Coastal Chauffeur carries appropriate maritime insurance. Guests participate in all activities at their own risk and are encouraged to have their own personal insurance coverage.
9. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Coastal Chauffeur's liability for any claim arising from a charter shall not exceed the total amount paid for that charter. We are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages.
10. Photography & Media
Guests may take personal photographs and videos during their charter. Coastal Chauffeur may photograph or film charters for marketing purposes. By booking, guests grant permission for such use unless they notify us in writing prior to their charter date.
11. Governing Law
These Terms and Conditions are governed by the laws of the State of South Carolina. Any disputes arising from these terms shall be resolved in the courts of Beaufort County, South Carolina.
12. Changes to Terms
Coastal Chauffeur reserves the right to modify these terms at any time. Changes will be effective upon posting to our website. Bookings made prior to any changes will be governed by the terms in effect at the time of booking.
